Summertime
It's been a while since I have blogged & I most certainly have a lot of catching up to do! This summer has been one of my favorite's yet with the kiddos. The twins are at a great age and are both completely swimming which has made this 80 degree weather we have had most of the summer so enjoyable. Chase is still in the what I call 'save your life' stage. He is busy, but slightly more cautious than I feel like the twins were at this age. I still get nervous when I don't see him for a minute because accidents can happen so very quickly, especially at this age. The twins will be turning 5 in a few weeks and I am finding myself very nostalgic lately about how much time has passed since they were little. When were little ones it was hard at times & I felt like they would be babies forever & now all I want them to do is stop getting so big. 5 seems so big, maybe because it is. I am soaking up these precious memories them. They are such amazing little people, I am so proud of them. Another Mom came up to me at the park the other day and complimented me on how sweet my kids were. I have to say it made my day. Sometimes you just don't know how good of a job you are doing and then someone gives you just a little boost of confidence like that and you can pat yourself on the back. I feel like we are entering the 'sweet spot' as it's sometimes referred to with the twins where they are old enough to do things without lugging around 50 lbs of stuff but they are little enough to still WANT to be with you. We are transitioning from time-outs to 'real' consequences....so I guess this has to be telling that they really are growing up :).

my happily ever after
I just came across a box of old pictures that got stashed after we moved. I found the disk that had our engagement weekend pictures on it. What a fun thing to find on this gloomy Friday. We had planned what I thought was a 'last minute' trip to the LA area, but later I found out it was not at all last minute. Jerame had been planning our engagement for months. We had known each other for about a year & 1/2 at this point....I 23 and Jerame 27. We were staying at the Beach House in Hermosa beach and went for a walk to dinner and on the beach on the way to dinner is when he purposed. It will always be one of my most favorite & cherished moments in the history of our family. Although we were young, it didn't feel like we were. Looking back I am so happy we got that special time in our lives together to be so naive, selfish, and just all about each other. Love looking at these. Crazy to think 4 years later to the day on August 21st is when the twinnies were born.

I'm the...
Carter picked out these little $3 shirts last time we were at Freddie's that say I'm the Big Brother & I'm the Little Brother. They are forming such a special little BOY bond. I am so proud of how good the twins have been with Chase.

growing-up boy
Chasey loves to be outside exploring. He is the happiest little guy & just wants to be doing exactly what the kiddos are doing. I am cherishing every minute of him being a baby but realize he is turning into a full blown toddler more each day. I always wonder when he won't feel like such a baby to me...when he goes to school? I guess such is life with the 'baby' of the family. He a boys-boy and it is so fun to see his personality coming out. He has started having little conversations with us (in baby-talk) but it's so cute because you can almost hear what his sweet little-toddler voice is going to sound like. I can't get enough of this kid, I mean I REALLY can't :)
LOVE YOU to the moon little dookie-doo.
