Summertime

It's been a while since I have blogged & I most certainly have a lot of catching up to do! This summer has been one of my favorite's yet with the kiddos. The twins are at a great age and are both completely swimming which has made this 80 degree weather we have had most of the summer so enjoyable. Chase is still in the what I call 'save your life' stage. He is busy, but slightly more cautious than I feel like the twins were at this age. I still get nervous when I don't see him for a minute because accidents can happen so very quickly, especially at this age.  The twins will be turning 5 in a few weeks and I am finding myself very nostalgic lately about how much time has passed since they were little. When were little ones it was hard at times & I felt like they would be babies forever & now all I want them to do is stop getting so big. 5 seems so big, maybe because it is. I am soaking up these precious memories them. They are such amazing little people, I am so proud of them. Another Mom came up to me at the park the other day and complimented me on how sweet my kids were. I have to say it made my day. Sometimes you just don't know how good of a job you are doing and then someone gives you just a little boost of confidence like that and you can pat yourself on the back. I feel like we are entering the 'sweet spot' as it's sometimes referred to with the twins where they are old enough to do things without lugging around 50 lbs of stuff but they are little enough to still  WANT to be with you. We are transitioning from time-outs to 'real' consequences....so I guess this has to be telling that they really are growing up :).

We spent 4th of July in Hood Canal with family & we had wonderful weather. We love to spend time there, it's one of our happy places.
