28 weeks

Excited to be starting the 3rd trimester... it means we are that much closer to meeting this little guy and it also means I am almost done being pregnant. I am feeling so much smaller than I did with the twinnies at 28weeks.  My Dr. had me schedule all my visits out until my due date there are only 6 more appointments to go. I start going every two weeks now instead of 4.  We talked a bit about delivery and she is strongly recommending I do another csection. Although I am not necessarily looking forward to the surgery aspect of it I am happy I will know what to expect going into it this time around.
We spent the weekend at Hood Canal again last weekend. The weather was beautiful, finally.

These two...

These two are best friends. On the other hand though they can also be  each other's biggest annoyance. Typical siblings. I  am not to sure  though what they would do without each other, they are pretty sweet together.

We had a little sun this week and we went to the Kirkland waterfront to see the ducks. Both kids ended up soaking wet. You would think I was new to this game because I didn't bring swimsuits and only had mismatched clothes to change them into. Hummm...blame it on prego brain?  This summer has defiantly not felt like summer weather wise. It is going to be fall before we know it and we haven't even had a summer. I guess I need to stop complaining about the weather because we do live in Seattle. We will make the best of the nice days we do get.

swim

One of our favorite activities of the week is swimming lessons.  Chloe is this close to swimming on her own. Carter is a little more cautious in the water but is also coming right along. It's been so good for them. Now if the weather would only get warmer so we could get them outside swimming sometime this summer.

Carter and Jerame took a trip last weekend to Denver for his cousins wedding. They had a really fun time and Carter kept Jerame busy. He is a go'er..in fact he never stops going. I think part of it comes from being a boy, boys are busy. It is going to be crazy having two boys. At least by the time the baby will be walking the twins will be 4...yes I am already thinking about these things :)  Chloe and I had a fun girls weekend. It was nice only having one kid....we could do so much more than I can when I have both of them.  We even went shopping downtown and out to lunch with my brother. She was thrilled and felt like such a big girl. She even carried her own shopping bags with the things she picked out. Chloe is super into clothes and shoes, right up my alley.  In fact I have never met a two year old more particular about what she wears. Right now she will only wear dresses and these  reef flip flops.

I am about 27 weeks now and my body is catching up with me a bit. I am getting a very nice sized belly on me and feeling it a little bit after picking up 30lb toddlers all day. I am trying to enjoy the good parts about it though because I am pretty sure this is my last time being pregnant. Since it looks like we will still be in our house when the baby is born we will be putting the twins back together in one room. I am looking forward to decorating it.  Then I need to start thinking about digging out the baby stuff I have within the next few montsh.  Lots to do but feeling much more relaxed the 2nd time around than I did with the twinnies. I guess that is one of the major blessings of a 2nd or (3rd in our case) baby.

July 4th

We got to enjoy our 2nd annual weekend at my Grandparents beach house on Hood Canal over the 4th of July weekend. The twins had a lot of fun playing on the beach, swimming in the pool and spending time with family.

Trying clams
Carter helping get the corn ready
Chloe helping Uncle Mike rinse  off the clams gotten off the beach
Bella in dog heaven at the beach
getting ready to watch fireworks...from the deck this year where it is safer than on the beach where  everyone lights off fireworks!
 going home!

 waiting for the ferry
ice cream w/red, white & blue 'sparkles'

sneak peak

We got to have another  look at the little guy this week. My Dr. ordered an ultrasound to check in on the baby to make sure his growth is not being affected by the drugs I am still on for the skin thing I got while in Hawaii over a month ago.  I would be lying if I said this past month hasn't been miserable (to say the least) health wise for me. But today is the start of a new month and I am thinking positively that I will be back to normal soon.  The baby checked out just fine, which was a huge relief.  He is still measuring in the 70th percentile and very active. We even got to see him sucking on his sweet little hands in there.  I am so thankful he is thriving despite all the stress on my body.  These pictures are scanned and are not super clear but you can get the idea.  I can't wait to kiss that beautiful face.
