Baby Boogie

The twins LOVE our music class we do every week. They both take a few minutes to warm up when we get there but once they get with the program they have so much fun. Daddy has also been coming along the past few weeks. This week after we were done with class I took the twins shopping and out to lunch by myself!!! We go shopping pretty often but NEVER out to a restaurant alone. But, they were hungry and we were close to a Red Robin (which is the best restaurant ever for kids) so I decided to try it out. I found myself beaming with pride the whole lunch because I was so proud of how good they did. There were no melt downs, no big messes and I actually got to eat a little something as well.

our perfect little valentines

We had such a great Valentines day. It's fun to think back on what we have done every Vday since we have been together. We do it every year and talk about what we did, how we felt & what we gave each other. This year we didn't give each other anything and didn't do anything especially special but we both agreed that, this year was the best yet. It is just such a joy hanging out together as a family. The twins are at such a FUN age. We took them out to breakfast which was actually really enjoyable. We came home and they went down for a nap and Jerame & I cleaned the garage. Yes romantic, I know. But we felt very accomplished when it was finished. Then we went out for an afternoon target shopping session. I heart target. Then we came home & fed the twins dinner and Jerame cooked us a special & delicious meal that we enjoyed in the quiet after they had gone to bed. The very best part about the day though was being with these two little adorable, beautiful, amazing, cool, and hilarious almost 18 month olds!!!!!!!!!

little shadow

If there is one thing we know for sure about little Chloe is that she LOVES her Daddy. Last night she was following him around the kitchen when he was making dinner. She would just follow him from place to place and sit between his legs every chance she got. Their relationship is really sweet.

Trip to Dana Point, CA

I can't believe it is already Febuary. January went by so quickly and seemed a little hazy between our family being sick and Jerame's crazy travel schedule. It seems like we have been hit hard this year with colds, flu and other random sicknesses. It's been difficult to keep the twins healthy for any long stretch of time. It is frustrating for us and even more miserable for the poor little stinkers. Everyone keeps telling me it is quite normal for toddlers to get sick a lot but I think it just gets magnified with the two of them sick at the same time every time. Last week Jerame was gone on a work trip and the day before he left I came down with a horrible cold/flu. It was the same thing, I think, that Carter & Chloe both had the week before last. It was horrible. After struggling through the first few days with him away, I finally went to the Dr. and was put on meds for a double ear infection & sinus infection. Thankfully, we spent the 1st half of the week at my Mom & Jerry's house so I could have help (and company) whilst being sick. Thank goodness for them. Jer came home Thursday night and was home for 1 day and then we were off to southern CA for Jerame's work 'incentive trip'. Every year the people that meet their objectives on Jerame's team are rewarded with a fun filled weekend somewhere nice. The trip this year seemed extra special to me as everyone was treated to spa appointments, a cocktail party, a day of sailing, and a wonderful dinner at a gorgeous restaurant in Laguna Beach. We stayed at the luxury hotel, The St. Regis in Dana Point. This year there was 35+ people that attended all bringing a spouse or date with them. The weather was for the most part sunny and in the mid 60's. Not that warm but defiantly warmer than here. It was wonderful!

I forgot my camera so here are a few pictures courtesy of Amy Craver-Walton, a local photographer & friend of ours.
