Babies 1st time sitting in grass, they were not
too sure if they liked it or not :-)
We had a wonderful long weekend! We ended up having a 4 day weekend because Jerame took Friday off to have the cast taken off of his hand & the pin removed. Although he was thrilled to get the cast off it was a bit disappointing for him as he will still need a lot of therapy to get full use of his hand back. He is in a splint now that allows him to use his hand more but he will still need the support of the brace for another couple of weeks. The good thing is, is the Dr. was very pleased with how things are healing up and he is on the right track to recovery. Thank goodness! On Saturday we went over to Jerame's sisters house and let all the kids play together outside. It was so fun to see them all starting to interact together. Chloe thinks her big-girl cousin Olivia is the coolest thing ever...she just laughs and laughs at her. It's so cute. Sunday we met up with our friends Kirk & Karen for a BBQ at a park. It was like camping for a few hours. Fun...but I don't think we will be camping for real with the babies for a few years yet. By the end of the 2nd hour Chloe was throwing a tantrum because I kept trying to move her to the middle of the blanket...away from the dirt she kept wanting to shovel in her mouth. By then it was time to go, just a little stressful :-). Monday we went to a BBQ at one of the ladies from my Twins moms group's house. I think there were 10 babies there all between 7 & 10 months. The babies seemed pooped today from all the weekend festivities so we just hung out at home today and tried to get back on our schedule. My Dad came over today to see the twinnies this morning. He just can't get enough of them. It's cute. I was flipping through the pictures on his camera today while he was here and the majority of the pictures he had on there were of the babies. Cute. He is such a wonderful Grandpa.
The babies have been doing really good taking naps during the day and sleeping through the night. We have been having some serious challenges actually getting them to go to bed lately though. They seem to think that the bedtime routine means party time. We have had at least an hour of crying for the past 6 nights at bedtime. Enough to make me want to cry to! I would like to blame it on teething but who knows. Carter is cutting his two front teeth now so he has a total of six. Chloe is still working on the bottom two. Teething is so hard! The babies have their 9 month well baby visit on Thursday. I can't wait to find out all of their stats! Its hard to believe they are getting so close to being 1 year old. Its crazy that we almost have toddlers. TWO of them!!!
