date night

Jerame and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary last Saturday. We did a little staycation and ventured to Seattle to spend the day & evening. We stayed at Hotel 1000, a little boutique hotel down near Pike Place Market. When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and roses it was such a sweet  little touch done  by the hotel.  After we checked in we went and had a relaxing lunch at Matt's at the Market.  After a quick stop at Frans Chocolates we spent the rest of the day watching movies... something we don't get to do much of normally.  It was a rainy day so we didn't feel to bad about being inside most of the day. For dinner we went to a romantic little French restaurant at Pike's Place called  Chez Shea. The food was delish and we stayed for almost 3 hours.

I realized I haven't been taking as many belly shots as I did with the twins. So here I am at 23'ish weeks. At my last appointment my belly was measuring a little bit big but that wasn't all that surprising because I carried twins before & he is also measuring 5 days ahead of where my due date actually is.  So I am either just a little bit farther along or he is going to be a good sized baby. Either way I am happy and feeling so much smaller than I did last time, even if I am 'big'. I often forget I am pregnant throughout the days because I am so busy with the twins. My body normally catches up with me though by the end of most days and I am pretty ready for bed after the twins are down. Things have just been so much different this time around in a good way. I think I deserve it after having been through a twins pregnancy. Now I am just praying that he is an easy baby....I think I deserve that as well!

Kauai

The 4 of us took a little over two week vacation to Kauai, HI during the last 1/2 of May. It was our first family vacation with just the 4 of us, it was really special. Although I wouldn't say it was the most relaxing trip ever because we were vacationing with two 2 year olds , it was awesome to get some really good family time in and it was a wonderful experience for both of them. We felt like they did a lot of growing & growing-up on the trip. It was good timing with my pregnancy as well because I was barely even showing and in the 2nd trimester good phase of it all.  I kinda popped out the 2nd week we were there and really started feeling him move all around which was exciting. I did really miss enjoying the tropical adult drinks but I had my fair share of virgin ones just to feel festive. But lets face it they really are not even close to the same thing.
I was really concerned about how the twins would do on the plane ride and they actually did pretty good considering it's an almost 6 hour journey. The first week we spent just the 4 of us and we spent lots of time at the beach and pool at the house. Then we were joined by Jerame's cousin's family (whose house we were staying in) for part of the 2nd week. They have two young kids as well and it was fun to have all the kids play together.  The last few days of the trip were a super big bummer for me though because I got really sick after having a really bad allergic reaction to something I put on my skin. So sick in fact that I ended up at the ER at Harbor View a few days after our return home. Needless to say that story is for an entirely different blog post. I felt so bad that our trip ended the way it did but we still made the best of it and stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Hotel our last night there.  Chloe turned into a little fish over the course of the two weeks and loved the pools at the Hyatt. We got them these little swimming vests that they can actually swim in unassisted. Chloe was doing the water slides & doing cannon balls into the pool. She thinks she can swim now like a big girl. All in all we had a wonderful time and it was a trip neither of us will soon forget.  Hard to believe the next big trip we do we will have 3 kids!  I think we will most certainly be bringing help on that trip :)
These pictures are from the first few days. I have lots more that I will share but am unable to download them to my computer right now. So many more to come!

It's a...

BOY!
I had my 20wks ultrasound yesterday. Baby is most certainly a boy. Everything looks good & healthy. This pregnancy has been so easy so far and is going fast. My due date is still 10/17. The baby is measured to be in the 75th percentile, crazy to think Carter & Chloe never made it out of the 20th. If the baby follows along the same growth pattern it has been on the Dr. estimated it's weight to be 8 1/2 lbs. or so at birth. Seems huge to me. That is how big C & C were at 3 months old. My Dr. is going to do a scheduled csection at 39 weeks. I am wondering if this baby will be born on my bday (the 7th).
We just got back from 2+weeks in Hawaii. Lots and lots of pictures to catch up on.

Easter

Easter was really fun this year. The twins had a blast hunting for  eggs and enjoyed all the gifts they got from the Easter Bunny.  We had dinner with my family and the kiddos had a blast eating candy and opening up all their eggs.  Holidays are so much fun with little ones.

Easter morning, the kids seeing what the Easter Bunny brought for them

We also celebrated Jerry & Matt's bday's and we had 3 toddlers on hand to spit I mean blow out the candles on the cake :)
