Happy almost Easter

Since we are coming up on a holiday weekend I thought I would buy some pretty flowers to make our house feel a little bit festive. Little did I know they would provide so much entertainment :-).

My Mom & I took Chloe to have her pictures taken in a dress that my Grandmother made. My Mom & I both had our pictures taken in the dress when we were Chloe's age. The pictures turned out so good and very similar to my pictures. She is most certainly my little mini-me! Carter also came along for the picture taking adventure. He was not thrilled about spending a good part of the afternoon in the stroller but he really did pretty good considering.

Goodbye Highchairs?

We have gone two days now and not used the twins highchairs. Does this mean I can officially move those crusted over things out of my kitchen? I have loved those highchairs for many reasons but above all else they have allowed me a place to safely contain them while I do things. However, this has not been the case over the past few weeks. They are big enough now to actually climb out of their chairs...this making them a very unsafe place to put them. Ha! So now we are trying out booster seats. They still only sit at the table for short periods of time but at least they think it's cool we are all sitting in the same place. I guess it's just a new surface for me to de-crust 100 million times a day. Don't they look like such kids sitting at the table?!!! Where did my babies go?

I love having girls nights. They save my sanity sometimes. There is nothing like wine, girlfriends and just taking a little time-out with people that really get you. I spent last Saturday night with a few of my favorite people.

Oh how I did PAY for this night the next day though! I just can't pull if of like I used to be able to.

Hermosa Beach

I just realized this morning I never posted any pictures of the 2nd part of our trip to Mexico. On the way home we decided that we would stop over in LA and stay the weekend at one of our favorite little spots, The Beach House in Hermosa Beach. Not only was it wonderful to wind down our vacation with just the 4 of us for the weekend, it was good planning on our part to break up the flights for the twins. Although the weather was kind of a bummer we still love to visit southern California. The twins loved the beach and our cozy little quarters at the Beach House.

We got a little bit of sun on Saturday morning so we spent some time in the

We decided it would be fun to rent beach cruiser bikes and go for a little ride. We also thought that the movement would put them to sleep. We were wrong on both. Our ride lasted about 20 minutes. They were not into it at all.

Oh well we tried!




The weather started getting nasty in the late afternoon so we did the beach one last time.





We had a one bedroom hotel room with a little balcony so Jerame & I sat outside while the twins took a nap. It was actually really comical because it was FREEZING & pouring down rain and there we were sitting outside drinking wine.

Sunday we got an early start before we had to catch our plane and went to the coolest little toddler park in Manhattan Beach.

Each and every day with these two little toddlers is a new adventure. Most days we don't do much of anything but we have so much fun doing whatever it is we do.

Today we didn't have anything planned...which are a lot of times my favorite types of days....


We stayed in our pj's for 1/2 of the day because we could.

We danced in the kitchen.

We played 'together' on the princess car.

We sang in the car.

We ate lunch at Red Robin.

And I was beaming with pride the entire time with
how good they both did.

I love every single day with them. I love them soooooo much.
