Trip to California

Jerame and I had a wonderful & amazing anniversary trip! We started off our trip with a two night stay at the incredible Montage hotel in Laguna Beach, CA. We were treated like royalty, it was the nicest hotel either of us have ever been to. We ate and drank everything imaginable and pretty much lived up every minute we had to spend together in such a beautiful place. We ended our trip with a nights stay at the Beach House hotel in Hermosa Beach. We were engaged there on August 21, 2005 (August 21st is also the babies birthday is that ironic or what). It's hard to believe that it was almost 5 years ago. This trip was one both of us will remember forever and a much needed rejuvenator for us. The babies stayed with my Mom & Jerry. We just can't thank them enough for having them & for taking such good care of them. We are so lucky to have such caring Grandparents to leave them with. On our 1 year wedding anniversary we went and stayed at the Caneros Inn in Napa CA. On that trip we drank lots of their Champaign so as part of our celebration Jerame ordered the Domaine Caneros Champaign for us to enjoy. Again...he is so thoughtful!

The weather was not the best ever but it was okay because Jerame & I both burnt ourselves crispy the 2nd day in the overcast weather because we didn't realize we were getting sun.

One week from today

One week from today Jerame & I will be celebrating this wonderful day we spent together 4 amazing years ago.....

I am so excited to celebrate our wedding anniversary relaxing in the sun, having wonderful dinners and just spending time the two of us! 

Big kid car seats

The babies got new car seats this weekend. They look like such big kids in their new seats. They are much easier to get them in and out of these seats, they were just getting too big for the infant seats. Although I'm sad that I won't have the convenience of the buckets anymore I am also excited to be rid of them they were really getting too awkward to carry. I will just be using my stroller a lot more to get them inside places while I'm alone.  They will be in these car seats until they are 65lbs, which is for most children around 4 years. 

We had a nice weekend playing with babies. I got to go to my step sister's baby shower on Saturday. It was nice to get out with My Mom without the babies. We used to do a lot of stuff together but now it always includes the munchkins. So it was fun to have some Mom/Daughter time.  On Sunday we met Jerame's Mom & Sister at Redhook for dinner. We ate outside and the sun came out just in time.

Zoo

My Mom & I too the kiddos to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle on Friday. They had fun getting out of the house and looking at all the millions of kids running around but to our disappointment they didn't seem too interested in the actual animals. I guess they are still a little bit young for the zoo. My Mom & I had a nice time walking around and getting a few snacks while there.

be up exploring all the things they see. 

9 Month Report Card

The babies Dr.'s appointment went great last Thursday. They both checked out happy & healthy. It was funny, the Dr. asked us "Is he always like this" (about Carter) because he was just being his usual happy, smiley, put-on-a -show self. Jerame and I just looked at each other, laughed & said YES. It was a bit of a different experience this time at the Dr. though because we had to work with them to let the Dr. examine them. They did NOT want to sit still & lay down for her to check them out. So we had to get creative on how we did the exam. Nothing new to the Dr. I am sure. They are both maintaining consistent growth. Chloe is 17lbs.9oz. 23th percentile & 28 2/3 ''long 75th percentile. Carter is 18lbs. 4oz 10-25th percentile & 29'' 50-75th percentile. They are still a little bit small for their age group but considering they were both in the 5lbs range at birth they are doing just fantastic!  They only had one shot this time which they both screamed for but it was over quick and it was just the last of the hep series they had to get. They did warn us about the shots they will get at their 1 year appointment, they are supposed to be horrible. They have to get 3 one in the back of each arm & one in their thigh muscle. Thinking about that already makes my stomach turn.  Crazy to think their next appointment will be their 1 year check up. 

We had such a nice weekend. We did lots of work outside and planted flowers in our back yard. It looks so pretty. On Saturday we took the babies to Toys R Us and spent way to much money on new toys for them. We got some outside toys  and some new stuff for inside. It's hard because they seem to get bored of their toys so we have to have enough to recycle them out. Or maybe its that I get bored of hearing the same songs play over and over again from the toys. Lol.  We also went to Merry Go Round to check out big kid car seats. Since they are both close to the max length capacity for their infant carriers we need to start thinking about the next car seat. The next seat we will buy them they will be in until they are around 4 years old. So crazy. 

We have had such beautiful Seattle summer weather for over a week now! It just makes everything better when the sun is out. We also had air conditioning installed in our house about a week ago. It has been so wonderful to be able to enjoy the weather outside but when we want to put the babies down for a nap or to bed at night it is cool enough inside for them to be comfortable. Getting babies to sleep is very important around our house! I feel SO lucky to have air conditioning to look forward to this summer. It's funny having an air conditioned house feels like quite the luxury in Seattle.  I am looking forward to this week as it's supposed to be in the high 80's.
