Happy Thanksgiving

We are cooking Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. I am so excited for the 'twins' to eat their first Thanksgiving meal! Looking forward to deep frying our turkey and spending the day with Family. I am so thankful for my beautiful babies, wonderful husband, my family & friends! I hope everyone has a delicious  & relaxing day today!

My Dad is celebrating his 59th Bday this weekend as well so Matt & I took him out to one of his favorite restaurants, Wild Ginger in Bellevue, for his Bday. I am so happy the eastside is finally getting some decent restaurants

Happy Birthday Dad!
Can you believe the hair on this cute boy?
Both Carter & Chloe's hair keeps getting curlier by the day.
It is so gorgeous. I would never have imagined we
would have curly haired babies.
Not the best pic but, wanted to show how curly his hair is! So freak'in cute.

Chloe's new holiday shoes. I brought these beauties home
yesterday and she would NOT take them off of her feet.
She loves them. Such a little girl.

little princess

Chloe is the definition of a princess. Like mother like daughter I guess :-). I think it must somehow be genetic. She is developing such a little personality it is just so funny. She is saying lots of words now, mostly Momma, Daddy, Bella & hi. She also has gotten very good at shaking her head NO to most things. I think she says more I just can't understand her. We are going to have our hands full with this little one but I LOVE it. I am just so thankful to have a daughter that will hopefully someday enjoy doing girl stuff with me.

Playing peek-a-boo with the curtain & me

This is a typical sequence of events that happens often during the day:

Carter trying to 'share' the toy with Chloe

Chloe does NOT want to share....

so a tantrum begins

and goes on...

and on...

Veterans Day

My cousin Nicholas Kelly is currently serving his first tour in Iraq with the United States Army. He is a brave young man that is loved by so many. On this Veterans Day, thank you to all the Men, Women & Families that are serving this amazing country. God Bless.

Before his deployment Nick's 5th grade teacher wrote this for him:

'Nick's Prayer'

Heavenly Father, Nick is one of yours. He loves Jesus, his country, his family, his girlfriend and his fellow soldiers. He is a good boy, a brave man, an American hero. Lord, I pray that you keep him safe all the days that he is gone. Grant him the ability to get out of every tight situation, the skill to perform each task he is called to, and the wisdom for how to proceed when things are dicey and uncertain. He will get scared, Lord, and when this happens, please wrap him tight in your cloak of comfort. Let him feel your presence in a tangible way. Give him the courage and skill to do what needs to be done and keep his heart always turned toward you. He will get lonely and miss home, Lord. When he does, comfort him with the thoughts of loved ones who anxiously await his return with reminders that his time so far away is short, and with the realization that he is surrounded by a new kind of family over there, one that he will keep all the days of his life. Lord, thank you for creating Men like Nick. Men who will give of themselves to keep others safe, men of strength, honor and integrity. Thank you, Lord , for being the kind of Father we can turn to with every need -- and thank you, Lord, for keeping Nick safe and bring him home to us.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Please keep Nick and all the brave soldiers in your prayers!

I am a big girl

Chloe somehow got onto the chair while I was making dinner and she was quite impressed with herself.

Not a lot new to report here. We are all healthy for the time being which is so awesome. We are patiently waiting for our Pediatrician to receive their portion of the H1N1 vaccination. Trying to find that shot is like trying to win the lottery it seems. It feels like everyone is panicked about getting it (as am I) but we are just trying to stay away from super germy places right now & do a lot of hand washing. It is what it is and all we can do is wait our turn I guess! Oh and we are officially done with bottles I just packed up the last of them. Now... binkies are another story but we are ok with that for right now. We are going to start working on only doing them at night pretty soon.

The twinnies are just so much fun right now. I love hanging out with them everyday. Every single day they do something new. We have started giving them their meals on plates and they actually leave the food on their plate and the plate on the tray 90% of the time. This has been a huge development because even a month ago they would have immediately dumped the plate on the floor. They also insist on both holding a fork or spoon while they eat. They don't really use it very well but they see us using one so they both always insist on having one. They are defiantly little people now.

::BFF's::

I don't think there is any question that C & C will always have a close bond. They are getting to be so cute together. They truly are best friends and are so blessed to have each other.

I was doing stuff in the kitchen this morning and
looked over to find them sitting on the couch together
watching Elmo.

Then I looked back over about 10mins later and they
were like this. So precious.

*On a side note is anyone else having problems with their pictures being blurry on their blog when they download them to this site? My pictures do not look blurry on my computer but when I download them to blogger they look horrible?

Halloween

We went to Madison Park to Trick or Treat at the
businesses on Saturday.

We played at a park first

Cousin Skyler

Cousin Livy

We went to Trick-or-Treat at Daddy's office on Friday.
Chloe is lounging on the couch in his office.

They are almost too big to go in the swing together. Sad!

At the pizza party at Daddy's office

They were such troopers wearing their costumes. They
didn't seem to mind wearing them at all! They were the cutest
puppy & kitty ever :-)

'Twice as Nice' turns ONE!

My PEPS twin moms group had a Bday party celebration for all the babies & parents in the group last weekend. We rented a great space at the Mount Lake Terrace Rec center that had lots of toys for the kids. The last set of twins just turned one last week, so now everyone is ONE!!! It's so fun to see them all toddling around and playing together. It was fun to reflect back on the last year with all the other Mom's in the group and talk about all the things we have 'survived' having twins over the period of the last year! 16 babies in ALL...can you count them all?!!!!
