our little girl

My oh my, we had quite the weekend with our girl. It's hard for me to think about what to write right now because I am still feeling a bit emotionally drained from all we have been through in the past few days. To make a long story short we unfortunately spent our rainy Memorial Day weekend taking care of one sick little girl. Over the course of the last 5 days we have made 5 trips to the pediatrician and one trip to Childrens Hospital's ER. It was pretty miserable. The short version is that she was having problems breathing due to respiratory type problems. We went through a similar episode with her about 3 weeks ago and they treated her with Asthma medication. It was hard for us to believe we were right back there with her not even 1 month later. We had some of the meds left over thankfully and used that on her until we could get to the Dr. on Saturday. We were in and out of the Dr. all weekend. Monday the situation got a little bit more dire as she was not getting better, but worse. The Dr. diagnosed her with pneumonia
and ultimately sent us to Childrens to have her observed. Having to go to the ER on a holiday weekend was not fun. It was very busy. Thankfully after about 2 1/2 hours they determined that she was stable enough to go home. Today I took her back to see the pediatrician and it was determined that Chloe is defiantly doing better but that we are not completely out of the woods yet. We were given more meds to help her little lungs get stronger and have to take her in the 1st part of next week for hopefully the last time for a long time! At this point they are not officially diagnosing her with asthma but there seems to be a trend developing. Time will tell and hopefully with the help of the Dr.'s, medication and lots of tlc we can get her lungs strong again and her immune system back up and fighting. Thanks everyone for all your messages we appreciate every single one. We have such amazing friends and family.
